Northside State Champion Softball Camp
!!! Come to Camp with a Champ !!!

Northside's 2010 AA State Softball Champions will host a 1-day softball camp Saturday September 4th 9am - 4pm at the Northside Softball Complex. Campers will have an opportunity to work with coaches and players from the 2010 State Championship team to learn fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running and other important aspects of the game. Other camp activities will include:

• Individual Skills Competitions and Awards
• Pitching Demonstration and Instruction
• Hitting Demonstration and Instruction
• Photo Opportunities with Players and Coaches

Each camper will receive a state championship camp t-shirt. Drinks and lunch will be provided for each camper. In the event of inclement weather, the camp will be held on Sunday September 5th.

These are open to rising 7th and 8th graders in addition to players in grades 9-12 this fall.

Fall Baseball

Fall baseball is an instructional sport that works on development for coach pitch players moving up to the minor league next spring, and for minor league players that will be moving to o-zone.  This instructional program is available for player’s ages 8 to 12 years old (dates of birth are on the Fall Baseball registration screen).  Current minor league and o-zone players are also eligible to play.

The season begins the weekend after Labor Day, and run through the last weekend of October.  Games are played played 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.  There is no late fee for registration, and registration is open through the beginning of September.

Announcing the 4th Annual NRRC Soccer Clinic

This clinic is for Boy and Girl soccer players that will be in the U10, U12 and U14 age groups for the 2010 season.

Dates: June 21-24, 2010
Times: 6:00pm-8:00pm each night
Cost: $25.00 (make checks payable to: NRRC )
Where: Hollins Park Soccer Fields on Hollins Rd. Turn off of Plantation Rd at Food Lion onto Hollins Rd. and the field is a little over a mile up on the left.

Coaching will be provided by the NRRC Coaching staff.

Lead Coach for the Boys will be Jackie Large. Jackie is the Boys Soccer Director for NRRC and holds the NSCAA Advanced Regional Coaches License.

Lead Coach for the Girls will be Kenny Furrow. Kenny is the Girls Soccer Director for NRRC and holds the NSCAA Advanced Regional and USSF “E” Coaches Licenses.

We will work on different skills each night along with some scrimmaging. This is a great opportunity for players to get a jump on the upcoming season, and hopefully learn some new soccer skills.

Registration will begin at 5:30pm each evening. There is no pre-registration. Players do not have to attend all sessions.

Parents, Grandparent, friends and other adults we need you! 

We need coaches and volunteer positions.  Anyone interested in coaching the above sports MUST also register online and will be subject to a Roanoke County required background check.

Take the time and volunteer, not only are you giving back to the kids, but to the community as well.  You will be well reward by the time you spend with  smiles and laughter.  That is how we started.
